Biography
John M. Davis is Professor of Psychology and Honorary Professor of International Studies at Texas State University. He is a former President of the Southwestern Psychological Association and of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. He earned M. S. and Ph. D. degrees in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oklahoma, M. A. T and B. A. degrees in Psychology from Oklahoma City University. He completed advanced coursework in German Language and Literature, and in Psychology at the University of Heidelberg and at the University of Erlangen in Germany. He has conducted research projects and/or taught psychology in the US, Germany, England, Canada, and Hong Kong and has presented his research in more than fifteen countries. He has published numerous journal articles and book chapters. He regularly teaches courses in social (graduate and undergraduate) and international psychology, and has taught introductory psychology, social psychology, personality, learning, statistics,research methods, and history and systems. He directs an active research program with the help of graduate and undergraduate students.
